I never did anything for money

"I never did anything for money.
"I didn't even know the mechanics of how Libor was set."
Both of these statements were made by Bob Diamond, former head of Barclay's, according to The Guardian.

If you expect some kind of indignation from the blogster, sorry, we need to disappoint you.

We loved the interview, and the mention of the old car as the only family vehicle in Nantucket. We own only an old car, too, and we live in a place that is marginalized, kind of like Nantucket without the sea and the rich people.

Given that we share so much with Mr. Diamond (never worked for money, no idea of Libor, old car), we expect that the blogster is fully qualified to become the head of a major London bank.

Please note that the blogster would be a little bit cheaper than Mr. Diamond.

We don't want that condo in New York, not because we'd hate to have Sting as our neighbor, au contraire - no - simply because we don't want a condo in the Big Apple.

The honorary PhD TheEditor begged for in the post "Best transatlantic satire blog" has not materialized yet, so TheEditor needs another source of income.

And, if you think about it, what could be better than getting as close to the money as possible?

If any City bankster reads this post and knows of a top level job opening, just send the contract to the contact email above. We won't need to do any interviews, just the contract is fine.

There is one tiny condition, though, and that is "no suit", TheEditor has not worn any kind of uniform for a couple of decades and won't give up this perk.

TheEditor is fully aware that the "no suit" perk might be a deal breaker to some, but don't be fooled by the precariat style, it's just an act. TheEditor has impeccable manners and knows how to behave in the company of powerful people.
