In the mood for a pogrom?

The Catholic doctrine bishop thinks so.

We had called our Former Altar Boy (FAB) on the weekend to get FAB's reaction to an interview by Bishop Mueller in the daily Die Welt.

Bishop Mueller had complained that there was an anti-church sentiment that reminded of a pogrom mentality.

FAB uncharacteristically exploded "pogrom, what the <********> do they think invoking that term?"

We reminded our valued contributor that this word is somewhat overused, and that we should not hold an archbishop to higher standards than the next of our brethren.

So we decided to wait and see what others had to say. Except for the asterisks, much of public opinion thinks like the FAB. After some internal debate, the K-Landnews decided to publish the obvious: should there be a "pogrom" against the Catholics in our neck of the woods, we'll take in a few and hide them - unless our courage fails, which would be very human, being sinners and such.

In the meantime, we'll leave that struggling organization alone so they can deal with all the developments and problems they are facing, which should be manageable if you have god on your side.

The power outage during yesterday's Super Bowl now needs our attention, thank you.
