300% surge in campaign posters

The number of campaign posters in our town for the election in about a month's time just exploded by 300 per cent over night.

The sleepy hollow turned into a hotbed of political activity!

Instead of the solitary poster twelve feet above the ground, on unverified eco-friendly backing board, we now have four posters in town.
We may be getting a bit carried away by the surge but one of our contributors claimed to have noticed the retiree panhandling for cigarettes at the grocery store become more talkative and engaging.

TheEditor tilted that slightly asymmetric head and said: They probably upped his dose or switched meds.

The new posters are from the same party as the initial one, the governing Christian Democrats, there are two big differences, though. The new crop has a head, a white-haired, smiling, but not too big of a smile, candidate for office.

Since we don't care much for talking or smiling heads, the other difference is more meaningful,

The second set of posters is at "people height", the man pretty much looks you right in the eyes. The message is obvious, I am one of you, please vote for me.

We checked some previous elections. Mr. Politician does not need to advertise.

The Germans in our hill country hide-out vote "conservative" every single time, slam-dunk.
